It's quiet at this time of year but as the season kicks off, latest news and updates to the site will be headlined in this column. The link above is a very interesting thread about international selection criteria - well worth a read for any budding international anglers.

The Army Championships were held on an in form Rutland Water on the 20th and 21st of June. A lot of hard work had gone in previously by our new Match Secretary Graham Lumsden. His tireless efforts ensured that we all had somewhere to rest our heads as accommodation was only secured the week of the match. The Army Champion for 2009 is Del Spry after bagging eight fish both days, runner up was Tony Hoggart. In the Association match Robbie Bell took the top spot with Lindsay Simpson runner up. A lot has happened in the last few months within the Federation with many members finishing their service and moving on to a new civilian career. The Federation wishes them all the best for the future.
Talking about the future it is essential that you get your availability to the Match Secretary as soon as possible. We have successfully qualified for the Midlands final at Grafham water and there are still many AMFC matches to fish the number of anglers available is much reduced due to operations overseas, the ones who remain must step up.
The website has been somewhat static for some time I no longer have the time to generate content and would ask all members to make a conscious effort to support the site by submitting match reports or even fishing articles. Take your camera on the water and support the site.
The forum is busy and is a good way of keeping up with the rest of the team. There have been a couple
of instances of members falling of the edge of the forum if this happens please contact me and I will do my best to resolve it.
